Jace and Seth Backstory

Seth wakes up in the morning, groaning as he remembers that today is the graduation day for the transfer students from the mainland. He quickly gets dressed and goes to the gym where there's been twelve rows of chairs set up, as well as a stage with a podium. As he takes a seat, he feels some nostalgia for some reason.

Jace was standing behind the screen, listening to the teachers drone on about how to recieve their graduation diploma. Like he didnt already know. Stand up, take the diploma, bow. It wasn't rocket science and yet as Jace looked around he could of sworn he saw at least 6 people who looked confused.
"For god's sake..." muttered Jace to himself as he leaned back in his chair and tuned out, still waiting for the actual ceremony to start so he could get on with it. This school didn't hold very many happy memories for him, and he wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible so he could get back home to look after Dad. Although Jace didn't really care about the diploma, something about today still felt important...

Seth sighs, holding his chin with his fingertips, bored, but strangely interested. 'Why do they have to come here anyway? I mean, surely schools are better in the mainland than in Jap- Area Eleven...' he thinks to himself. As the graduation finishes, he gets up and walks with the others, his eyes down to his feet. 'Oh well, no need worrying about it now...' he mutters to himself before he crashes into someone, who was walking the other way. 'Oh, I'm sorry... It was my fault.'

"Gaah" shouts Jace as he stumbles over and turns around to stare at the person who dared bump into him.
"First the idiots in the graduation ceremony and now this, what is it?" sneered Jace condescendingly, "I want to get out of here as soon as i can so make it quick."

He steps back slightly at the person's antisocial attitude, and offers his hand to him. "I already said it was my fault, name's Seth Merc. I wonder, have we met?" he says to the stranger. 'Strange, he looks familiar somehow...' he thinks to himself.

Jace looks at him incredelously, "did, did you just say Seth Merc?"

He nods slowly. "Yes, now, may I know your name? It's polite to tell me yours when someone tells you theirs."

Jace grabbed seth by the shoulders, an incredibly worried look in his eyes "Who set you up to this? How, how did they know? What else do they know?"

Seth stammers for a bit, trying to get the words out. "What... What are you talking about?"

"Don't play stupid, whoever put you up to this must of..." Jace paused mid sentence and looked at the other people starting to stare at his sudden outbursts,"Never mind, just come with me"
Jace led Seth behind the screen where him and the other students prepared for the gaduation, now empty as everyone had left.
"Now how did you, or whoever put you up to this, know who my parents were even after I changed my name?"

He looks sternely at him. "Ok, first of all, may I know the name of my interrogator? It's impolite."

"Jace LeBlanc, but you probably know me as Jace Merc..." replied Jace quietly, his voice deadly serious. "Now, how did you know about my brother?"

He suddenly falls to his knees, his eyes closed. "B... Brother...?" His mind goes back to before the Second Pacific War, they were on a trip to Japan and he went to the peaceful Kururugi Shrine. It was so peaceful then, you could hear the wind blowing, the water from the pump rushing freely.

Jace fell to one knee and placed a hand on Seth's shoulder, "You, you really are my brother.."
Jace hugged Seth for the first time in years, ever since their parents divorced they were divided between their parents. Jace stayed with his father in Britania while Seth went with his mother to Japan. Seth was only 5 when this happened, how could they do such a thing?
"Where, where is mother?" asked Jace obviously concerned, but at the same time relieved to find his Brother safe and from harms way. They had moved a few months before the second pacific war and the worry had plagued Jace everynight.

He hugs him back tightly, closing his eyes. "Mother is healthy, yes, but... addicted to Refrain."

"I'm not surprised, not after what Father did..." replied Jace, his eyes distant and fairly sad, "Dad, isn't doing so well either..."

Seth suddenly turns cheerful. "Well, since you have graduated, can you tell me how he is?"

"Well, if your sure..." replied Jace, all emotion dissapearing from his face, "I'll take you to him" Jace showed Seth to his car, a very plain two seat car. It barely stood out from anything anyone else was driving, and Jace opened the door and gestured for Seth to get in.

His smile vanishes as he gets in the car, his hands on his chin. "Something's wrong, isn't it? I can still read you like a book, big brother." he says as he keeps his eyes on Jace's, not wavering until they arrive there. "Well, I guess we're here!" He opens the door, and climbs out before offering Jace his hand.

"Trust me, your not going to like it..." replied Jace as he got out of the car and locked it behind him, "Father's been at the hospital for the last year, he has some strange disease in the lungs and it has been getting much worse lately. I hope you can handle it...". The hospital was large and imposing, but still a nice clean white. This was in stark contrast to the Eleven hospital, and at times like this Jace thanked god that his father wasn't an eleven. Father probably wouldn't of lasted a week in that place, nobody does.

Seth keeps his eyes to his feet as he walks into the hospital, towards the receptionist. "Hello, I would like to visit Ray Merc. It's urgent, so, if you don't mind..."

"of course sir, now, what is your relation ship with the patient?" replied the receptionist.
"You can't tell anyone he is our father. I will explain to you later..." whispered Jace into Seth's ear.
"Excuse me? your relation to the patient?" replied the receptionist again as she went to type into the computer, obviously waiting for an answer.

He smirks, and quickly turns back to the receptionist. "Just a friend of the family, in fact, Nate here knows him personally. We heard he got ill, so can you tell us where he is? And maybe also giving us the details of his condition." He quickly lies to her, not giving off any signs of lying.

"Well, I uh. I guess that would be fine" replied the receptionist as she continued to type away, "he's in room 36. I'm actually surprised he still has friends willing to see him, especially after the incident..."
"Let's go" replied Jace, his voice still quiet and very serious.
"Hey, wait a sec.." started the receptionist as the two of them began to walk off, "Didn't that man say his name was Mihael the last time he came?" But before the receptionist could ask anymore into it, they dissapeared around the corner and made their way to the room.

Seth walks down the corridor, smiling. "Did you expect your idealistic little brother to be such a good liar? Or did I shock you twice in one day?"
